Baseball in Australia

Baseball was believed to have been brought to Australia by Americain gold miners in the Victorian gold rush of the 1850s. Miners played baseball on the gold fields on their rest days. There are many Australians playing professional baseball in the United States of America, Japan, Korea, and various other countries. As of April 2012, players mostly play in MLB.
